That's another WGC in the bag for Dustin Johnson.

Back-to-back titles for the American and a worthy World No. 1. I have a suspicion that his opponent in today's final, Jon Rahm, might just be a future No. 1. Watch this space.

Over and out.

Here is what the 2017 WGC - Dell Technologies Match Play champion had to say.

"I played really well. Today was really a tough day, a long day, this whole weekend was. But I'm proud of how I played, the way I stayed in there.

"It was a tough match today against Jon. He's a great player. He's got a lot of potential. He's going to be a great player for a long time.

"Jon played really well. I just really didn't give him anything. He made birdies on the back nine, but I just couldn't get any putts to drop but I'm proud of the way I played.

"Obviously I've got a lot of confidence in my game. I feel like I'm driving the ball great. I could work on the irons a little bit. But it will be good to work on those next week. I'm taking a couple of days off."

What does this victory mean for the World Number One?

With this win - Dustin Johnson

Dustin Johnson is just the second player to win back-to-back World Golf Championships.

22:05

What a valiant effort.

Rahm drives through the green at the par four last while Johnson decides to play safe into the fairway.

DJ fails to reach the green with his second shot approach but is reprieved when Rahm could not get his chip close enough from the fringe.

The Spaniard’s ranging birdie putt just misses, leaving the American with two putts for victory.

He doesn’t make the first, and despite Rahm holing out for par, DJ converts at the second attempt.

What a match. Credit to both players.

DUSTIN JOHNSON IS THE 2017 WGC - DELL TECHNOLOGIES MATCH PLAY CHAMPION!

21:51

We continue.

A short approach from the tee at the par three 17th left Rahm with much to do, particularly with DJ on the green.

But a smart bump and run from the Spaniard put him inside four feet with Johnson waiting in the wings for a putt for victory.

His 25-footer drifts just wide before Rahm confidently holes out for a par which the American matches.

To the last we go!

21:43

A lot of people probably thought the same after the 12th.

21:39

Wow.

A ragged tee at the par five 16th does no favours for Rahm, especially when DJ finds the fairway in response.

The Spaniard miraculously plays through a tree from the deep stuff back onto the fairway before sinking a monster putt for an astonishing birdie.

That puts the pressure back on Johnson and his birdie putt falls short to see his lead get cut to one up with two left to play.

Incredible stuff!

21:32

Bill Haas seals third place and a sizeable cheque with 2 and 1 win over Hideto Tanihara.

It was nearly perfect for the American as he snaked a 40-footer for birdie but the ball falls just short of the cup for a tap-in par.

Tanihara, however, lips his par putt which would have taken the match to the final hole but instead, they shake hands.

What a week it has been for Tanihara, though!
