Sergio Garcia - We gave it a good shout

Jon Rahm fired a closing 67 to get to 19 under and win the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai.

Here, we take a look at what some of the chasing pack had to say after their final rounds.

    Sergio Garcia (65, -17)

"The last two days I played great, other than the last two holes. Today unfortunately a couple of bad swings there that obviously cost me a little bit. But other than that, I thought it was a very solid week. It was the dream start, birdieing the first four holes and then hitting some really, really good shots. The birdie on nine was one to remember, five iron. The problem is when you're that far back you can't have any hiccups. You're under pressure the whole time. You know that you have to almost birdie every hole out there. We gave it a good shot and we would love to finish a little better than I did the last couple of holes. But overall, it was a great week. I'm excited for next week at Hong Kong and then in Australia for the PGA. It should be great. I heard great things about the courses and obviously love going back to Australia. I haven't been there in a while so I'm excited about it. Hopefully we can have two more solid weeks."

    Shane Lowry (63, -18)

"The golf course is there for the taking. There's not that much wind, it is switching a little bit but it's not that much. The greens are as good greens as you'll see. I didn't know I was going to shoot the best score of the season on my last day of the season, at least it gives me something to smile about going into my Christmas break. My iron play has been great over the last while. I've given myself lots of chances. The last few weeks, managed to hole a few putts and this week in particular I felt like I drove it quite well. I felt like my whole game came together this week. I'm happy with my results, a few World Ranking points and a few valuable Ryder Cup points as well. Looking forward to a nice break in the winter and back out in January. My Sundays have been poor of late. I feel like a couple of my friends text me before today and were saying I was due a good Sunday. There it is. That's as good as I could play, I feel like. It's not the 60 or there's probably one or two I left out there but that's always the way in golf. No matter what score you shoot, you do that. I'm chuffed with that."
