Local hero Shubhankar Sharma and Matt Wallace continued to lead the way as the final round of the Hero Indian Open got under way in New Delhi.

DLF Golf and Country Club had proved devilishly tough on day three but was offering more scoring chances on Sunday and the leading duo both made a birdie in their first three holes to get to eight under.

Scot Stephen Gallacher was then a shot back after also making an early gain, one clear of England's Andrew Johnston.

Argentinian Emiliano Grillo, American Sihwan Kim and Spaniard Pablo Larrazábal were then at five under.

Race to Dubai Rankings presented by Rolex leader Sharma was five over after nine holes on Thursday but is now looking for a third win of the season, while Englishman Wallace is looking for European Tour triumph number two.

Larrazábal had dropped three shots in his final three holes on Saturday but began to make amends with a birdie on the first, while Kim also made an early move with a gain on the second.

Johnston then birdied the second to get within one of the lead but he was not there for long as both Wallace and Sharma also made gains on the par four to get to eight under.

Gallacher was the only member of the final group to make any progress on the par three third and his birdie there moved him back to where he started the day - within one of the lead.

Grillo started with three pars, while Austria's Matthias Schwab was a further shot back after a bogey on the third.

Dutchman Joost Luiten, England's Aaron Rai, Frenchman Clément Sordet and Thai Panuphol Pittayarat were then at three under.
