His 11th European Tour victory in his 290th appearance.

Becomes World Number One for the second time in the 2018 season.

The first player to successfully defend the Turkish Airlines Open title and only the second player after Victor Dubuisson (2013 and 2015) to win it on multiple occasions.

His second Rolex Series title following his victory in Turkey last year. He becomes the first player to successfully defend a Rolex Series title and the third to win multiple Rolex Series events, joining Alex Noren (2017 BMW PGA Championship and 2018 Open de France) and Jon Rahm (2017 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open hosted by the Rory Foundation and DP World Tour Championship, Dubai).

• Moves to 3,431,616 points on the Race to Dubai Rankings presented by Rolex, up to third from tenth.

Has six top tens in the 2018 European Tour season, including tied second at the 147th Open Championship. Has made every cut and has not finished lower than tied 37th (WGC-Mexico Championship).

His second international victory of the season. He lifted the 2018 Forth Worth Invitational trophy on the US PGA Tour on the way to winning the FedEx Cup for the first time.

His career victories include a Major Championship, an Olympic Gold Medal, two World Golf Championships titles and two Rolex Series titles.

• His third victory on Turkish soil. He won the eight-man World Golf Final - the precursor to the Turkish Airlines Open - in 2012 and this title last season.

The second 2018 Ryder Cup winner to claim a title after the victory at Le Golf National, following Sergio Garcia’s win at the Andalucia Valderrama Masters.

The fourth Rolex Series victory by an Englishman following Tommy Fleetwood (2017 HNA Open de France), Tyrrell Hatton (2017 Italian Open) and his own victory in Turkey.

The 12th win from an Englishman on the 2018 Race to Dubai.

The 331st victory from an Englishman on the European Tour.
