The initial sector of The 2012 European Tour International Schedule, announced today, will begin with the Africa Open followed by the Joburg Open in South Africa before The European Tour’s 2011 tournament winners gather for the second edition of the Volvo Golf Champions.

Le Golf National, the Host Venue for The 2018 Ryder Cup situated on the outskirts of Versailles near Paris, is the first golf club in France to become a European Tour Destination and a member of  the network of world-class venues operated under the European Tour Properties banner.

The Senior Open Championship presented by Rolex will be played in Wales for the first time in 2014 and the Wales Senior Open will also return to the European Senior Tour schedule next year through a £5 million agreement between the Welsh Government, The European Tour and The R&A.

Royal Birkdale, in Southport, England, will become the 11th different course to host The Senior Open Championship presented by Rolex when it stages the 27th edition of this prestigious event in 2013.
