Genworth Statistics of the leading players ordered by Round 2 tee times
Jamie Donaldson leads the BMW Masters in Shanghai at the finish of day one, but how did he and the other best performing players put their scores together? Read the following Genworth Stats Pack highlights and then check out the Genworth Statistics of the leading players, ordered by round 2 tee times.
- Jamie Donaldson racked up no less than ten one putts in his opening round of 62. Incredibly that is not his lowest round of the year though (he shot a 61 in the last round of the Trophée Hassan II back in March). At the finish of the first round in Shanghai Jamie topped the Genworth Par 4 Scoring statistic alongside Paul Lawrie and Shane Lowry (with a 3.60 average). He also topped the Genworth Par 5 Scoring statistic alongside Peter Hanson (they both birdied all four of the Par 5 holes).
- Four of the Ryder Cup stars being Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose, Francesco Molinari and Martin Kaymer battled it out for long game honours alongside Gonzalo Fdez-Castaño. Each of the players ranked very high in both the Genworth Driving Accuracy and Greens in Regulation statistics. Justin was the only player in the field to hit every fairway though, while Francesco and Gonzalo ranked joint first in the Genworth Greens in Regulation statistic hitting 17 greens each.
- A special mention must go to Ryder Cup captain José María Olazábal who achieved 14 out of 18 greens in regulation and 4 out of 4 (100%) for the Genworth Scrambles statistic on-route to his bogey free round of 67.
