Genworth Tournament Summary
Our Genworth Tournament Summary shows how Peter Hanson, Rory McIlroy, Luke Donald and Ian Poulter came out on top at the BMW Masters in Shanghai. Alongside the player summaries we present tables that show their Genworth tournament statistics and rankings.

1st Place - Peter HANSON
Genworth Summary
Peter Hanson needed to make some birdies in the final round to keep the world number one at bay, and he did just that. Overall he accumulated a total of 28 birdies for the week (4 more than any other player). The Genworth Ambassador topped the Putts per GIR statistic and placed 2nd behind Robert Karlsson in the Putts per Round statistic, further strengthening his bid for best putter on tour this year. Peter now ranks 1st on the Genworth Putts per GIR season statistics and 5th on the Genworth Putts per Round season statistics.

2nd Place - Rory MCILROY
Genworth Summary
Most other players would be ecstatic with Rory's result this week, but his statistics suggest that everything seemed very solid without being outstanding. The world number one topped the Genworth Par 4 Scoring statistic, and he also hit the most Par 5 greens in two shots (a total of 4 times) together with Nicolas Colsaerts and Henrik Stenson - this is an area where great players excel. And at the finish of the week, he now ranks 1st on the Genworth Sand Saves season statistics.

3rd Place - Luke DONALD
Genworth Summary
Luke Donald produced a bogey free final round to take third place. He played steadily from tee to green, but it is his overall short game performance that stands out. He chipped and putted like a genius. Luke came in 2nd in the Genworth Scrambles statistic with 78.3% success (18 from 23) and he also performed brilliantly from the sand, with 85.7% Sand Saves (6 from 7). Add to that a 4th place in Putts per GIR and a 2nd place in Putts per Round and well, need we say more.

4th Place - Ian POULTER
Genworth Summary
Ian Poulter also produced a bogey free final round. The Ryder Cup hero topped the Genworth Greens in Regulation statistic for the week with 86.1%. But closer analysis throws up some very interesting data. Ian also headed up both the Genworth Scrambles statistic with 80% (8 from 10) and the Genworth Sand Saves statistic with 100% (3 from 3). It is not often that a player leads Greens in Reg, Scrambles and Sand Saves and does not finish in the top three. Perhaps his course strategy was the only thing that held him back.
