Any country hosting a European Challenge Tour "Open" event may hold a "Closed" event.

Prize money won at "Closed" events will not count towards the European Challenge Tour Order of Merit. However, players with the nationality of the country in which the "Closed" event is being played will be allowed to count the event as a "tournament played".
