The battle for the coveted BMW PGA Championship title will take all the attention on the West Course itself at Wentworth Club but, off the course, the BMW PGA Championship spectator experience is also sure to be a source of great fun and enjoyment.

With children under the age of 16 admitted free to Wentworth Club when accompanied by an adult, they are sure to find plenty to do in the truly imaginative and innovative Tented Village.

“We have a truly wonderful relationship with BMW and I think that manifests itself in the range of facilities we are able to offer at the BMW PGA Championship here at Wentworth Club,” said Championship Director Jamie Birkmyre.

“There are lots of things for the whole family to do and see in the Tented Village in addition to a superb range of eating and drinking facilities and with the weather expected to be glorious, I am sure everyone who comes to the Championship this year will have a great week.”

The central feature of the ‘village experience’ is the BMW display, where guests can gaze at the latest models from the production line and also enjoy morning cups of tea or afternoon glasses of wine in leisurely surroundings.

Why not try out a new exhibition hosted by the computer company EA Sports, where young gamers can compete as Tiger Woods or Rory McIlroy, before nipping off to the miniature race track for some remote-controlled car action?

Genworth Financial return with their ‘Putts for Charity’ initiative, where spectators can contribute to a worthy cause and also improve their putting stroke on the artificial green.

BMW owners will be able to use their key fobs to gain access not only to a car park close to the Tented Village but also to the BMW Owners’ Lounge, which includes a café and bistro serving complimentary soft drinks, and a private Viewing Gallery located by the 14th green.

The Theatre of Food offers tasty morsels and snacks, ranging from barbecue food to open-fire pizzas, while the Moët Bar & Brasserie offers brasserie-style fare and a chilled glass of premium champagne.

The latest in golfing fashion from leading designers such as Hugo Boss can be purchased from the exhibition tents in the Tented Village, where amateur golfers can also try to improve their handicaps by having their swing analysed in the Nike Swing Zone.

The BMW Baby Racer Circuit, situated next to the complimentary BMW Crèche for children up to the age of 12, will appeal to boy racers, whilst budding young golfers can hone their techniques in the Junior Golf Foundation area.
