Stuburt, the World’s fastest growing golf shoe and rainwear company, has followed up their launch into the apparel market and signing of European Tour rising star Gareth Maybin by adding Ryder Cup star Graeme McDowell to Team Stuburt.
G MAC, as he is known, joins fellow Northern Irishmen Gareth Maybin and Darren Clarke, ladies European Tour stalwart Trish Johnson and the list of other high-profile professionals choosing Stuburt as there preferred choice of footwear, rainwear and now clothing, on tour.
The agreement sees McDowell, who replaced Tiger Woods last week at the Chevron World Challenge, become an ambassador for Stuburt and wear the new range of technical performance golf products on tour.
McDowell enjoyed a great 2008 season, which included victories at the Barclays Scottish Open and Ballantine’s Championship in Korea before making his debut for the European Ryder Cup team at Valhalla, USA.
In 2009, he enjoyed top 20 finishes at The Masters, the US Open and the US PGA on his way to finishing the season ranked 51 in the world and 33 in the Race to Dubai rankings for Europe.
Graeme Stevens, Stuburt’s Managing Director, commented: “We’re delighted to have signed a world top 50 and Ryder Cup player in Graeme McDowell. He fits the Stuburt brand perfectly and coupled with our launch into apparel market and other tour signings, demonstrates our intentions for 2010.”
Stevens added: “We have aggressive plans to extend the appeal of the Stuburt across the globe and adding players like Graeme will help us do just that. These are exciting times for Stuburt”
