Stuburt, the world’s fastest-growing golf shoe and Apparel Company, is celebrating after staff player Graeme McDowell strolled to victory in the 2010 Celtic Manor Wales Open.

The 30 year old Northern Irishman played some stunning golf on his way to his fifth European Tour title. Held on The Twenty Ten Course, where Europe will take on the Americans in the Ryder Cup later this year, McDowell carded a final round 63 for a 15 under total of 269 to secure the €350,940 first prize by three shots from home favorite Rhys Davies.

Hoping to catch the eye of on-looking European Ryder Cup Captain, Colin Montgomerie and play his way into his second Ryder Cup, McDowell strided confidently onto the 18th green in his Stuburt shoes to claim his first victory since the 2008 Barclays Scottish Open.

Speaking after his win, GMAC said: "I think it's the best final round I've ever played to win a tournament. The first 11 holes was dream golf and I am ecstatic.”

Stuburt convert McDowell’s 64-63 finish was only three outside the best ever on The European Tour and was enough to record Stuburt’s second victory of the season following fellow Team Stuburt member, Charlie Ford’s victory at Turkish Airlines Challenge in Antalya earlier in the year.

McDowell joined the likes of European Tour rising star Gareth Maybin, PGA Tour player Garth Mulroy and brand ambassador Darren Clarke by wearing Stuburt on tour in 2010.

With sales up year-on-year, a well-received launch into the apparel arena and now a second tour victory of the season, it’s been a fantastic 2010 so far for Stuburt both on and off the course.
