Chris Wood was in dazzling form as the Barclays Singapore Open resumed after thunderstorms disrupted the opening round.

The Englishman started with a hattrick of birdies - although there was a four hour delay between the second and third of those - and then eagled the par five sixth.

Having in turned in 31, the 22 year old, who was fifth in the 2008 Open Championship as an amateur, carded three more birdies in a row from the 11th to be eight under after 13.

His playing partner Bi-o Kim of Korea was second on five under, with a group of eight players tied on four under - Australian Tony Carolan, Malaysia's Danny Chia, Welshman Jamie Donaldson, France's Gregory Havret, Three-time Major winner Padraig Harrington, English pair Simon Khan and Ross McGowan and Japan's Shigeki Maruyama.

Tellingly, all of the top ten were playing the Tanjong course, which is being used for the first two rounds along with the traditional Serapong course at Sentosa Golf Club.
