Colin Montgomerie was among the early leaders on the first morning of the Barclays Singapore Open after the veteran Scot moved to four under par through eight holes.
Playing the Tanjong course at Sentosa Golf Club, Montgomerie made an excellent start in birdieing the first, third and fifth holes before an eagle at the sixth moved him to the top of the leaderboard.
However, a bogey at the eighth saw the 48-year-old slip back into the leading group alongside six other players.
Swedish trio Johan Edfors, Rikard Karlberg and Fredrik Andersson Hed were also at four under alongside Korean YE Yang, Ireland‘s Shane Lowry and American CJ Gatto.
Simon Dyson and Padraig Harrington were amongst those one shot off the pace on three under, an early eagle and birdie helping the Englishman climb the leaderboard while Harrington reeled off three consecutive birdies starting at the fifth.
