This week European Tour Weekly will preview the Omega Mission Hills World Cup from Hainan Island in China where 28 teams will be representing their country. This year three pairs of siblings will be vying for the prestigious title including the defending champions Francesco and Edoardo Molinari. ETW caught up with the Italians ahead of their defence.
In a second preview ETW brings you the thoughts of the players ahead of the world’s second oldest national championship, the South African Open which this year is being held at the Serengeti Golf Club. Last year in the 100th edition of the championship two of South Africa’s modern greats, Ernie Els and Retief Goosen battled at Durban Golf for their national championship. In the end it was Ernie Els who claimed his fifth title. Retief talks to ETW about that final day and his form coming into this year’s edition.
The first of two reviews this week comes from South Africa and ETW will bring you the best of the action from the Alfred Dunhill Championship staged at the stunning Leopard Creek Country Club. Whilst at Leopard Creek ETW met the new generation of South African players who have been making their mark on the world stage.
Our second review is from the Iskandar Johor Open from Malaysia, where Padraig Harrington was defending against a top class field including Henrik Stenson, Camillo Villegas and Anthony Kim. We will look back at how events unfolded at Horizon Hills Golf & Country Club.
Together with all of the latest news and statistics this completes another edition of European Tour Weekly.
