The European Tour is in Miami this week for the second Word Golf Championship event of the year, the WGC-Cadillac Championship at Doral Golf Resort and Spa, where the world’s top golfers will be competing for the $8.5 million prize fund.

European Tour Weekly will be on the range at the infamous TPC Blue Monster course, getting the latest thoughts from the players on the eve of the tournament.

Last year American Nick Watney picked up his first World Golf Championship title at Doral with a two shot victory over compatriot Dustin Johnson. ETW met up with Watney prior to his defence to talk us through his win twelve months ago.

European Tour Weekly highlights the best of the action from the International Final Qualifying Asia as the continent’s finest golfers contest with an international field for four places at this year’s Open Championship. Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club will host the 141st Open Championship in July and ETW recently paid the venue a visit to see how the course preparations are progressing.

This week European Tour Weekly introduces our ‘one to watch’ for the 2012 season, Englishman Tommy Fleetwood. Last year the 21-year-old became the youngest ever player to win The Challenge Tour Rankings. Fleetwood enjoyed an illustrious amateur career that ended with him being ranked at the top of the Scratch Players World Amateur Rankings.
Together with all of the latest news and statistics from the Tour, this completes another edition of European Tour Weekly.
