Questions with The 2012 Ryder Cup Captains: Part Three
As another thrilling Ryder Cup year gains momentum, today sees the third instalment in a series of 20 quick-fire questions in which José María Olazábal and Davis Love III will reveal some clues as to the men behind the masks.
With less than five months now to go until show time in Chicago and The 2012 Ryder Cup, the race to make the European Team, under the stewardship of Captain José María Olazábal, is continuing apace.
European Captain Olazábal will face up to his opposite number, his great friend, long-time competitor and 2012 Team USA Captain Davis Love III, on Friday September 28, 2012, knowing that for three days an enduring friendship must be put aside as their respective Teams battle it out for the right to hoist the illustrious Samuel Ryder Trophy come Sunday evening.
And as the European season proper begins in earnest this week, fittingly with Olazábal’s National Open, the Open de España, we are set for a thrilling few months in the lead up to Medinah, Illinois come autumn time. Rory McIlroy currently heads the European Points List with 2,584,844 points in a team that currently comprises – as it stands – six of the team that triumphed so dramatically at The Celtic Manor Resort in The 2010 Ryder Cup.
Today sees the third instalment in a series of “Questions with The 2012 Ryder Cup Captains” in which the two leaders are fielding 20 quick-fire questions to divulge their similarities and differences and reveal some clues as to the men behind the masks.
