Titleist Brand Ambassador’s Jason Dufner and Bernd Wiesberger had two things in common this past weekend. The first was a full bag of Titleist equipment and the second was a maiden victory on their respective tours. Dufner emerged victorious from a sudden death play-off at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans on the PGA Tour, whilst Wiesberger cruised to a five shot win at the European Tour’s Ballantine’s Championship. The successful duo was joined by Pro V1x loyalists Stacy Lewis and I.J. Jang who trusted the precision of Titleist to record victories on the LPGA and Japan Tours respectively.

Dufner’s winning Titleist equipment included the Pro V1 golf ball, 910D2 driver, 910F and 906F2 fairway metals, 910H hybrid, AP2 irons, Vokey Design SM4 sand and lob wedges and Scotty Cameron putter. Dufner was joined towards the top of the leaderboard by Pro V1x loyalist Luke Donald who reclaimed the World No.1 ranking from Titleist Brand Ambassador Rory McIlroy with his tied third finish. With his maiden win, Dufner adds his name to the impressive list of Titleist Brand Ambassadors who have won on the PGA Tour so far in 2012, including Ben Curtis, Rory McIlroy, Bill Haas, Kyle Stanley and Steve Stricker. Titleist was also the overwhelming favourite of the field in New Orleans with 101 players teeing up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, compared to 20 for the nearest competitor. Titleist also topped the counts for wedges and putters respectively.

In the co-sanctioned Ballantine’s Championship, Titleist Brand Ambassador Bernd Wiesberger produced a calm and composed performance to capture his maiden European Tour win by five shots. Wiesberger trusted Titleist from tee-to-green to claim victory, including the Pro V1x golf ball, 910D3 driver, 910F fairway metal, AP2 and CB irons, Vokey Design SM4 approach, sand and lob wedges and Scotty Cameron putter. Having twice previously finished a runner-up on the European Tour, the win sees Wiesberger join fellow Titleist Brand Ambassadors Michael Hoey, Jbe Kruger and Rafael Cabrera-Bello in trusting a full bag of Titleist equipment to win on the European Tour so far in 2012. The feel and control of the legendary Pro V1 franchise also saw Titleist golf balls as the choice of the field at the Ballantine’s Championship, with 91 players choosing Titleist compared to 19 for the nearest competitor.

Elsewhere, on the LPGA Tour, Pro V1x loyalist Stacy Lewis captured her second LPGA Tour win at the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic. Lewis fired four consecutive rounds in the 60’s to record a one shot victory. On the Japan Tour, I.J. Jang (Pro V1x) fired his second consecutive round of 66 to capture the Crowns Tournament by two shots. These victories bring the Titleist worldwide golf ball win count for 2012 to 52, compared to 7 for the nearest competitor.

Maiden PGA and European Tour victories for Titleist Brand Ambassadors Jason Dufner and Bernd Wiesberger, coupled with further victories for Titleist golf ball loyalists around the world, continues to prove that the world’s best players opt for the performance excellence of Titleist for their success.
