European Tour Weekly catch up with Simon Khan who became the first sponsor’s invite to win the BMW PGA Championship after a highly impressive final round of 66 saw him capture the biggest title of his career two years ago. Simon had only secured his Tour card through Qualifying School the previous November but his magnificent final day surge brought him a five-year European Tour.

Whilst in Spain European Tour Weekly met up with Paul Lawrie, who was making his 500th European Tour appearance, joining an illustrious group of players to achieve the landmark feat. Lawrie becomes only the second Major Champion to reach the milestone after 1991 Masters Champion Ian Woosnam and he speaks to ETW about his career to date, which has included seven European Tour wins.
ETW takes a behind the scenes look into the staging of a pro-am, which usually takes place the day before each tournament.
