Spain’s Pablo Larrazabal made good progress as the third round of the Nordea Masters began at Bro Hof Slott.
With World Number Three Lee Westwood holding a three shot halfway lead, the onus was on the early starters to put in a strong performance to put some pressure on the Englishman.
And 29 year old Larrazabal did just that with three birdies in four holes after the turn taking the BMW International Open winner to five under for the day and eight under for the tournament with five holes to play.
That was still four adrift of Westwood, but only one behind Carlos Del Moral, Peter Hanson and Lloyd Saltman, the trio sharing second place overnight.
Australian Marcus Fraser also reached eight under – he was seven under with one to play – as did Alex Noren (four under through nine) and Ross Fisher (two under through four).
