This week European Tour Weekly is in Northern Ireland for The Irish Open. It promises to be a spectacular event as the cream of The European Tour comes to The Royal Portrush Golf Club, County Antrim, home of the 2011 Open champion Darren Clarke. Clarke is not the only Irishman playing, and the likes of Rory McIlroy, Graeme McDowell and Padraig Harrington will all be looking to impress in front of what promises to be bumper crowds. In total there will be ten Major champions on display and as usual we’ll be on the range getting the thoughts from the players.

At Killarney twelve months ago Englishman Simon Dyson produced what he later described as the best golf he has ever played in securing his fifth Tour victory. Dyson was trailing Richard Green for the majority of the final day and he tells ETW about he managed to claim the win.

Our review this week comes from Cologne, Germany, where the BMW International Open was taking place. One of those taking part was Austria’s Bernd Weisberger, and he took time out from the event to talk about his breakthrough Tour win at the Ballantine’s Championship earlier in the year.

Genworth Financial have been running their Putts4Charity since 2007 and will once again be present at the BMW International Open, and we look back at the history of one of golf’s most innovative charity initiatives as they close in on the magical one million Euro mark.

ETW will also bring news from the Scottish Hydro Challenge Presented by Macdonald Hotels and Resorts where the field will be looking to close the gap to Challenge Tour leader Gary Lockerbie.

The Seniors are in action too, at The Royal Haagsche Golf & Country Club, The Hague, The Netherlands, for the Van Lanschot Senior Open, and we will show the best of the action from the tournament.

Together with all of the latest news and statistics from the Tour, this completes another edition of European Tour Weekly.
