India’s Jeev Milkha Singh made a terrific start to the final round of the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open to claim a share of the outright lead.

Five behind Italy’s Francesco Molinari overnight, Singh made it a three-way tie at the top with Marc Warren and Molinari when he sank a 12 foot putt from just off the front of the tenth green.

That was his fifth birdie of the day, while Scotland’s Warren made a charge with birdies at his first two holes.

They were one clear of Dane Søren Kjeldsen and France’s Thomas Levet, with Matthew Baldwin, Pete Whiteford and Alex Noren.
