Thorbjørn Olesen was caught my a man nearly twice his age in the form of Thomas Levet as the Lyoness Open powered by Greenfinity reached a thrilling conclusion.
Three shots ahead of Rikard Karlberg going into the final round at Diamond Country Club, Olesen birdied the third to extend his advantage to four shots.
However, the Sicilian Open winner parred his next 11 holes to leave the door ajar to the chasing pack.
The 22 year old was fortunate not to drop a shot at the seventh, where hi attacking instincts got him in trouble going for the green in two, only to leak his approach shot right and find the water.
A good recovery shot and an eight foot clutch putt saved par, but 43 year old Levet carded five birdies in nine holes from the fifth to join Olesen on 17 under.
Home favourite Bernd Wiesberger had four birdies in five holes around the turn to remain only one back and keep it very much a three-horse race.
