Pablo Larrazábal claimed sole possession of the lead as birdies proved hard to come by in the final round of the KLM Open.
The opening holes at Hilversumsche GC provide a stiff test and all four overnight leaders dropped shots early on.
Larrazábal and Scott Jamieson each bogeyed the first to slip back to 11 under, although the former made amends when a stunning approach to the third yielded a tap-in birdie.
Graeme Storm – playing in the penultimate group - was the next to suffer a setback; his drive at four found the heather and he was unable to save par.
Gonzalo Fernandez-Castaño then made the same mistake, leaving Larrazábal clear of the field.
Peter Hanson was alongside Jamieson and Fernandez-Castaño, having started the day with four straight pars, while Storm dropped to ten under with another bogey at five.
Hanson’s Ryder Cup team-mate Nicolas Colsaerts held sixth position at nine under and could not be discounted.
