Amateur Tapio Pulkkanen led the 25 successful players from the European Tour Qualifying School First Stage Section B at Golf and Country Club Fleesensee with a three under par 69 in the fourth and final round.
The Finn finished with a 19 under par total following rounds of 67, 68 and 65, one shot ahead of another amateur, Sebastian Schwind of Germany, who finished as he had started with a 66.
Swede Marcus Larsson took third place on 17 under par, bouncing back with a 67 after a 75 in the third round, while German amateur Moritz Lampert, who played in the Junior Ryder Cup two years ago, took fourth place on 14 under after signing off with a 68.
Meanwhile, over at a wet Wychwood Park in England, the 23 successful qualifiers were led home by Sweden’s Alexander Björk, who closed with a round of 70 for a four under par aggregate total.
Second place was shared between England’s Jamie Howarth and Ireland’s David Higgins, who both finished on two under par after carding respective rounds of 73 and 72.
The final place was taken by eight-time Challenge Tour champion Iain Pyman of England, who signed off with a round of 73 to finish on six over par.
