Robin Wingardh was one step closer to a wire-to-wire victory at The European Tour Qualifying School First Stage at Bogogno after a five under par third round of 67 left him three shots clear of South African Dylan Fritelli.

Wingardh started the week with real intent as a six under par opening round of 66 handed him the Swede the lead after the first round and he has added a second round of 69 before a five under par third round kept him on top on 14 under par in Italy.

Peter Erofejeff of Finland was two shots behind second-placed Fritelli, whose 67 left him on 11 under par for the tournament.

Meanwhile, James Reubotham took another step towards Second Stage as the Englishman’s three under par third round of 69 meant he maintained his lead at First Stage Section C Golf d’Hardelot.

Reubotham was the overnight leader going into the second day in Northern France after a five under par second round of 66 and his three under par third round meant he finished the third day two shots clear of American Kelly Kraft.

Kraft had one of the rounds of the day with a five under par 66, which left him on six under par and a shot clear of Canada’s Derek Gillespie, who carded a second successive three under par round of 68.
