Genworth and the European Tour are pleased to announce that, for the first time here at the Dunhill Links Championship, the “Genworth Stats Pack” is available to all media to provide them with reports that outline the stories created from expert analysis of the Genworth statistics.
The Genworth Stats Pack comprises 5 reports each week (pre-event, after rounds 1, 2 and 3, and post-event), which will provide unique, interesting and useful information around the Genworth Statistics. The reports will draw data from historical and current Genworth Statistics, and several other sources; for example course information. It will identify several story lines each week, such as streaks, course form, player improvements and many others.
The European Tour and Genworth truly hope this new tool will become essential in helping enhance the usability and understanding of the Genworth Statistics.

Martin won here in 2010 so we know he likes the format. His stats from the past two years are very strong across the board, and the wider fairways will most definitely suit his game. After holing the crucial putt in the Ryder Cup last week, Martin could well return to winning ways.

As a former winner of this event Paul tends to excel in bad weather. We look for him to hit more fairways this week than in years past. The knock-on effect should be approach shots that finish closer to the hole on these big greens, and hence more makeable putts.

The table below lists the top ten Stroke Average performances for players that will be competing in the Dunhill Links Championship, as derived from the most recent four events on the European Tour Genworth Statistics (being the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles, the Omega European Masters, the KLM Open and the BMW Italian Open presented by CartaSi).
We can see that it is headed by a couple of Scots (both Aberdonians), Richie Ramsey and Paul Lawrie.
Richie Ramsey has been busy getting married over in the United States since his victory at the Omega European Masters, and we look for him to continue his recent run of good form. Noteable social events such as getting married, becoming a father or milestone birthdays often lead to great performances.
Paul Lawrie has been performing well in most of the Genworth Statistics. But close inspection highlights room for improvement in his Par 3 Scoring. The same can be said for Rafael Cabrera-Bello and Gonzalo Fdez-Castaño. Interestingly, the lack of Par 3 holes in this event may fall into their favour.
Anders Hansen has played all four events and seems to be performing nicely in each of the Genworth Statistics Categories, especially in the more detailed Par 3 Scoring, Par 4 Scoring and Par 5 Scoring - always a good sign.
And do look out for Martin Kaymer - if he gets over his Ryder Cup hangover in time.
The most important thing to note is the Genworth Statistics at this event are distorted by wider fairways and bigger putting surfaces. And the weather can also play a huge part.

Genworth Snap Shot Analysis
The Genworth Ambassador missed the cut in 2010 but performed well last year. To contend this week Peter needs to improve his scoring on the Par 3 holes. As a solid ball striker, he should be capable of hitting closer to 90% of the Greens in Regulation at this event - if the weather permits.
