Four of the best from Branden Grace on The European Tour in 2012 (EuropeanTour)

Branden Grace romped to his fourth European Tour title of the season at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship so we have taken a look inside his bag to see just how he has managed it.

Having got his card at the Qualifying School last December Grace has not looked back, picking up a South African double in consecutive weeks at both the Joburg Open and Volvo Golf Champions to start the season in January, before adding to that with a win in the Far East at the Volvo China Open in April.

Many will wonder how he has adjusted so quick to life on The European Tour, but the keys to this success are clear when you look at his Genworth Statistics from those winning weeks, the first of these being his accuracy into the greens.

This week in Scotland Grace hit 84.7 per cent of the Greens in Regulation en route to victory, which is very much in keeping with his previous three wins where he has ranked no lower than tenth in Greens in Regulation, and on another two occasions has registered more than 80 per cent in this statistical category, and no worse than 72.

The South African has also hit it particularly long off the tee, averaging more than three hundred yards on a couple of occasions, while also having harnessed that power to hit as many as 86 per cent of the fairways in China, and no less than 55 per cent en route to victory at home in Joburg.

This long game prowess has clearly played its part, but the now four-time European Tour champion has also putted exceptionally at times, ranking second and third in Putts per GIR and Putts per Round respectively at the Volvo Golf Champions, and in this latest victory, 12th and eighth in the same two categories.

The European Tour travels the world and tests its players on all kinds of courses, and as such you clearly need to be an all-round player to not only play, but win, and with these four triumphs so far in 2012, Branden Grace has proved that he is certainly up to the test.
