Other notable players to look out for

Thomas Björn - Although recent vice captain duties may have proved a slight distraction from his golf, Thomas brings good course form into this event. Over the past two years he has finished 8th and 17th.

George Coetzee - The South African talent returned to the European Tour after some time away last week to finish fifth at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. Our Genworth Analysis highlights him is a dark horse for the Portugal Masters. George came in third at this event last year, and in doing so, he led the field in the Genworth Par 5 Scoring statistic. Over the 16 Par 5 holes he made a staggering 2 eagles, 11 birdies and just 3 pars (4.06 average).

Padraig Harrington - Padraig has played a slightly reduced schedule on the European Tour so far this year (38 rounds to date). He has been consistent without excelling in any one department of the game. In terms of the Genworth Statistics he ranks 35th in the all important Stroke Average rankings (70.97 average), and 34th in the Greens in Regulation rankings (72.2%).

Henrik Stenson - Although his recent results may seem a little up and down, Henrik deserves a special mention for his amazing performance on the Par 5 holes. From nine rounds of golf (encompassing 25 Par 5 holes) he has made 5 eagles, 12 birdies and 8 pars (4.12 average). Now that's impressive.

Danny Willet - Danny is a player in form at the moment, with two top five finishes in his last three events. In terms of Genworth Statistics he is hitting 75.9% Greens in Regulation, and his Par 4 Scoring is 3.87, which is excellent. The only department of his game that needs a little improvement is his Par 3 Scoring. Over his last 48 Par 3 holes he has made just 5 birdies and has a 3.06 average.
