West Australian Greg Chalmers, the reigning Australian Open and Australian PGA Champion, has confirmed his participation in next week's inaugural ISPS HANDA PerthInternational, at Lake Karrinyup Country Club.
Chalmers, the leading money winner on the 2011 PGA Tour of Australasia, has enjoyed a strong year on the US PGA TOUR, and currently sits in 57th place on the Official World Golf Ranking.
“Greg has been a wonderful supporter of Australian golf throughout his career, and we are absolutely delighted to welcome him to Lake Karrinyup Country Club next week,” said David Rollo, Vice President-Director of Golf of IMG Australia.
The International Sports Promotion Society, ISPS, is the title sponsor of the inaugural event.
The ISPS HANDA Perth International is co-sanctioned by the PGA Tour of Australasia and The European Tour, and with prize money of US$2,000,000 it is the richest tournament in Australia.
It is also the only event in Australia co-sanctioned with the European Tour, and will be broadcast globally via European Tour Television for over 800 hours showcasing Perth and Western Australia to 400 million homes in 67 countries.
