Ian Poulter won the 2012 WGC HSBC Champions but did the Olazábal Course Par 5's shape the tournament as much as was anticipated through the week? Well the players that scored best on the Par 5's did indeed contend, but it was damage limitation on the Par 3's combined with great scoring on both the Par 4's and Par 5's that prevailed in the end. The following table lists the leading players, with their Genworth Statistics broken down by the different hole types.

Genworth Summary
Our preview highlighted that Ian had a great chance of winning because he led the Genworth Greens in Regulation statistic last week at the BMW Masters. Incredibly he did the same thing here. His long game has been phenomenal over the past two weeks. It's as though he has progressed to another level off the back of his Ryder Cup heroics. Could we be moving into the time of Ian Poulter?
