Highlighted as a strong favourite in our preview, Louis did not disappoint. There was not a single weakness in his game this week. He led the Genworth Par 4 Scoring Statistic and made more birdies than any other player in the field (22 in total). Actually he ranked high in pretty much every one of the Genworth Statistics categories. At the finish Louis still stands out as being statistically the best player on the European Tour this year (leading the Stroke Average, Greens in Regulation and Scrambles categories). He is also the current overall leader of the Genworth Performance Award.

The world number one was awesome from tee to green this week. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the combination of 10th in Driving Accuracy, 3rd in Driving Distance and 6th in Green in Reg was superb. But just look at how Rory played the Par 5 holes. He managed to hit no less than seven of the Par 5 greens in two shots on his way to leading the Genworth Par 5 Scoring Statistic. Unfortunately he didn't putt so well, ranking quite average in the putting categories. But his consolation prize was the Race to Dubai crown, so hey, you win some and you lose some.

Thomas came close for the third time this year. The same as his Genworth Season Statistics, he performed very steadily in all aspects of the game this week without excelling in any single category. So what is different this year compared to last year when he won three times? Well it’s the combination of his Greens in Reg and Putts per GIR (great approach play which leads to putting under less pressure). Analysing his Greens in Reg and Putts per GIR rankings for those wins, Qatar 3rd / 5th, Gleneagles 15th / 8th, Crans-sur-Sierre 1st / 7th. His approach play just needs to be that little bit better.

Francesco is regarded as being one of the straightest drivers of the ball on the European Tour, so the severe penalties for veering off line at the Sentosa Course suited his game down to the ground. Looking at his Genworth Statistics it was no surprise to see him rank 2nd in the Genworth Driving Accuracy Statistic. But we must shed light on Francesco’s short game. He is actually a greater chipper of the ball. Over the season he ranks an excellent 12th in Scrambles, and for this event he ranked 1st with 76.5% (plus tied first in Sand Saves with a conversion of 4 from 4).

The three time winner over the Sentosa Course produced the same pattern in his Genworth Statistics as the world number one this week. The same as Rory, Adam was long off the tee and accurate into the greens, ranking 1st in the Genworth Greens in Regulation statistic. He also hit a number of the Par 5 greens in two shots (five in total). But unfortunately also the same as Rory, Adam did not bring his putting boots to the tournament. He ranked well down the field in both the Genworth putting categories, which in turn left him a few shots shy of his fourth win here at the finish.

Genworth Summary
Matteo led the Genworth Par 3 Scoring Statistic this week with an outstanding 2.75 average. Looking at his Genworth Statistics he performed steadily from tee to green, but it was his chipping and especially his putting which enabled him to take the title. He led the Genworth Putts per GIR statistic and placed 4th in Putts per Round. One stand out stat was his Driving Distance. Over the season he ranks 215th in Driving Distance, but he ranked 11th for this event. A 302 yard average and much higher than usual ranking confirms he was swinging with confidence.
