This week the Genworth Stats Pack covers both the UBS Hong Kong Open and the SA Open Championship. During the week we will also keep track of those trying to qualify for the Race to Dubai next week. We start by analysing the tournament form of some of the big names over the past two years. A special mention must be given to Paul Casey who is back playing well, and attending the UBS Hong Kong Open in his bid to sneak into the Race to Dubai.

The young Italian prodigy found some extra length with a new Driver last week on his way to winning the Singapore Open, so it will be interesting to see how he performs in Hong Kong. Note that he does possess some course form here as well. In 2010 he led the Genworth Greens in Regulation statistic with 87.5% on his way to a tied second place finish (behind Ian Poulter). With that little bit of extra length off the tee, the red may disappear from the Driving Distance and the Genworth Par 5 Scoring may change from amber to green.

The three time Major champion and past winner of this event (back in 2004) had a tough time statistically on the greens last year. But is Padraig's putting actually the area of his game that is holding him back? Analysing his Genworth Statistics, he is hitting the ball a long way but his Driving Accuracy is a little low. This is producing a knock-on effect of still hitting a lot of greens, but perhaps with a lack of control, whereby not enough shots are finishing within birdie range. Improved accuracy from the tee may be the missing link.

Two time winner of the Hong Kong Open (2005 and 2008) Miguel Angel Jiménez seems to like Fanling. Being one of the shorter golf courses on the European Tour it most definitely suits his game. Looking at his Genworth Tournament Statistics over the past two years he seems to have played well from tee to green, and his chipping and bunker play looks solid too. If the old maestro can just improve his Genworth Par 3 Scoring and bring his putting boots this week, we may witness a third UBS Hong Kong Open title.

Genworth Analysis
Off the back of a superb long game display last week (which included destroying the Par 5 holes), the defending champion and world number one is the clear favourite in Hong Kong. Just look at his Genworth Statistics for this event over the past two years. Some would say the only thing that could see Rory not come away with this one is perhaps a lack of motivation, now that he has won the Race to Dubai (with tournaments to spare). But considering how professional he is, that would just be wishful thinking for the rest.
