Pro V1 & Pro V1x Dozen Boxes ()
Titleist golf ball loyalists enjoyed success around the world this weekend, headlined by Titleist Brand Ambassador John Merrick who led a five win weekend with victory on the PGA Tour. Merrick posted an 11-under par total at the Northern Trust Open before coming through a sudden-death play-off with two consecutive pars to claim his maiden PGA Tour title. Merrick was joined in the winners’ circle by a host of Titleist golf ball loyalists who recorded a clean sweep of wins across worldwide professional tours including the European Tour, LPGA Tour, Champions Tour and Australasian Tour.
Merrick trusted Titleist from tee-to-green en route to victory, including the New 2013 Pro V1x golf ball, 913D2 driver, 913F fairway metal, 913H hybrid, MB irons, Vokey Design SM4 sand and lob wedges and Scotty Cameron putter. Merrick was joined towards the top of the leaderboard by fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Bill Haas who put his trust in the New 2013 Pro V1x golf ball for the first time. Haas finished in a three-way tie for third on 10-under par, leading a group of eight Titleist golf ball loyalists among the 12 players who finished in the top-10 and ties. As well as being the choice of the champion and majority of top finishers, the legendary Pro V1 franchise was also the choice of the field, with 92 players putting their trust in Titleist, compared to 19 for the nearest competitor. Titleist was also the choice of the field in the wedge and putter categories respectively.
On the European Tour, Titleist golf ball loyalist Darren Fichardt put his trust in the New 2013 Pro V1x to seal victory at the Africa Open. Fichardt’s fourth career European Tour title continues a stunning run of success for Titleist players on the European Tour, where Titleist golf ball loyalists have been victorious at five of the last six tournaments. Fichardt joins Pro V1x loyalists Chris Wood and Louis Oosthuizen who won the Volvo Golf Champions and Commercial Bank Qatar Masters respectively, and Jamie Donaldson (Pro V1) who won the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship as well as the winner of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic who also put his trust in the performance excellence of the #1 ball in golf.
Elsewhere, on the LPGA Tour Jiyai Shin became the first LPGA Tour player to trust the New 2013 Pro V1 golf ball for victory, closing with a one-under par 72 to capture the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open. Shin posted an 18-under par victory total to secure the eleventh LPGA Tour title of her career. On the Champions Tour, Bernhard Langer (Pro V1) won the ACE Group Classic ahead of fellow Titleist golf ball loyalist Jay Don Black (New 2013 Pro V1x) to capture his 17th career Champions Tour title. On the Australasian Tour, Titleist Brand Ambassador Brad Kennedy (Pro V1x) birdied the 72nd hole to capture the Queensland PGA Championship by two strokes from Mike Hendry (New 2013 Pro V1x). Kennedy’s third PGA Tour of Australia victory saw him top a leaderboard where eight of the top 11 players relied upon Titleist golf balls for their success.
Five victories across worldwide professional tours continues the winning momentum for Titleist golf balls in 2013, and proves that the world’s best players continue to trust in the performance excellence of Titleist to deliver success.
