Trusting a host of Titleist equipment throughout his bag including the new 2013 Pro V1x golf ball, Titleist Brand Ambassador Kiradech Aphibarnrat claimed his maiden European Tour title at the Maybank Malaysian Open this weekend. The win headlines another multiple win weekend for Titleist across worldwide professional tours. Aphibarnrat closed with a 2-under par final round 70 en route to a two shot victory and follows Pro V1x loyalists Thomas Aiken’s win in India last week to mark the seventh victory for a Titleist golf ball loyalist on the 2013 International European Tour Schedule. The 23-year old Thai was joined in the winners’ circle this weekend by Titleist golf ball loyalists Beatriz Recari (New 2013 Pro V1), Michael Allen (Pro V1x) and Edward Loar (Pro V1x), who tasted success on the LPGA, Champions and Web.com Tours respectively.
Aphibarnrat’s winning bag of Titleist equipment included the New 2013 Pro V1x golf ball, 913D3 driver, Titleist CB irons and Vokey Design SM4 gap and lob wedges. Aphibarnrat opened with a 7-under par 65 and although the event was shortened to 54 holes due to inclement weather throughout the week, his final round of 68 and 70 were enough to claim victory. Titleist Brand Ambassador Anders Hansen (Pro V1) tied for the best final round of the day with a 6-under 66 en route to finishing third. As well as being the choice of the champion, Titleist was also the most relied upon golf ball with 94 players, more than four times the nearest competitor with 22. Titleist was also the top choice in the utility club, iron and wedge categories respectively.
At the weather-delayed Arnold Palmer Invitational on the PGA Tour, Titleist was the most relied upon golf ball with 79 players in the 132 player field putting their trust in the legendary Pro V1 franchise. Titleist was also the overwhelming choice in the wedge category with 132 Vokey Design models in play, more than double the nearest competitor. In addition, 59 players relied upon a Scotty Cameron putter at Bay Hill.
Elsewhere, on the LPGA Tour, there was no doubt of the winning golf ball when fellow Titleist golf ball loyalists Beatriz Recari and I.K. Kim advanced to a sudden death playoff at the Kia Classic. Both players relied upon the feel and control of the New 2013 Pro V1, with Recari emerging victorious to claim her second LPGA Tour career win. On the Champions Tour, Michael Allen (Pro V1x) won his fourth career Champions Tour title at the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic. Allen fired a final round 5-under par 67 to leapfrog overnight leader and fellow Titleist golf ball loyalist Bernhard Langer (Pro V1). On the Web.com Tour, Pro V1x loyalist Edward Loar captured the Louisiana Open by two shots ahead of Titleist Brand Ambassador Morgan Hoffman (New 2013 Pro V1x). These victories take Titleist’s 2013 worldwide golf ball win count to 31 across worldwide professional tours, compared to 6 for the nearest competitor.
A maiden European Tour title for Titleist Brand Ambassador Kiradech Aphibarnrat to headline another multiple win weekend for the #1 ball in golf in 2013, and continues to proves that the world’s best players trust in the performance excellence of Titleist to deliver success.
