The fifth annual European Tour Properties Spring Conference brought owners and executives from across the Tour’s network of world class Golf Venues together at The Dutch this year to share ideas and explore new opportunities.

Representatives from Diamond Country Club (Austria), Estonian Golf and Country Club, Golf and Country Club Fleesensee (Germany), Kungsängen Golf Club (Sweden), Le Golf National (France), Linna Golf (Finland), London Golf Club (England), PGA Catalunya Resort (Spain), Golf Club St. Leon-Rot (Germany)  and  hosts, The Dutch, took part in a series of workshops.

The one-day conference included presentations from guest speakers  Sikko Onnes of Egon Zhender on Leadership; Edouard des Fontaines of Golfbreaks.com on their partnership with European Tour Properties, and a fascinating talk from Niek Molenaar and Alan Saddington on the story of the creation of  The Dutch and the development  of a  unique corporate network, Made in Scotland.

Mika Walkamo, Chairman of Linna Golf, said: “The European Tour Properties network has steadily grown in both numbers and repute over the past five years and we feel very much part of the European Tour family which brings significant benefits to all member venues. The annual conference is the ideal platform to share ideas and learn from each other to see how we can enhance our own venues.

“The Dutch have been terrific hosts, showcasing their stunning clubhouse and course as well as providing an insight into their successful business model. We can all take a great deal away from this conference and look forward to continuing our relationship with The European Tour. We are very proud that Linna Golf has been chosen to be Finland’s only official European Tour Course.”

David MacLaren, The European Tour’s Director of Property and Venue Development, added: “The development of European Tour Properties over the last five years has been immensely gratifying and bears testimony, I believe, not only to the resources that the European Tour can bring to bear, but also to the quality of our member-venues and their commitment to the highest standards of service. We were particularly pleased to welcome our new member-venues and also to confirm Fleesensee, one of our oldest partners, as a European Tour Destination”
