This week The European Tour heads to the Bavarian capital of Munich for the BMW International Open and European Tour Weekly will be getting the thoughts from the players on the range at Golfclub München Eichenried as they prepare for the event.

One of the rising stars of German golf is 22 year old Maximilian Kieffer who has made quite an impact during his rookie season on The European Tour. In 2012 on The Challenge Tour Kieffer won his maiden title at the Gujarat Kensville Challenge which helped him on his way to 14th in the rankings. This year he almost claimed his first win on The European Tour after losing a remarkable nine hole play-off to Raphaël Jacquelin at the Open de Espaňa.

The first of two tournament reviews this week is from the second major of the year, the 113th  US Open Championship.  ETW will bring you the best of the action from Merion Golf Club in Pennsylvania.

Whilst out in America ETW caught up with Denmark’s Morten Ørum Madsen. Madsen was playing in his first US Open Championship after taking the fourth spot at the qualifying event at Walton Heath last month. Having finished in the top twenty on The Challenge Tour last year Madsen has enjoyed a steady debut season on The European Tour with three top ten finishes so far.

Our second review comes from St Omer in Northern France, where the Najeti Hotels et Golfs Open presented by Neuflize OBC – a co sanctioned event with The Challenge Tour, took place.
