This week European Tour Weekly travels to Muirfield for The 142nd Open Championship. ETW will be on the range with all the latest thoughts from the players on the eve of the third Major Championship of the year.
Last year at Royal Lytham & St.Annes The Claret Jug was lifted by Ernie Els, who produced a stunning back nine of 32 to pip Adam Scott to the title. ETW caught up with Els to reminisce about his fourth Major title, and first for ten years, and to hear his thoughts on defending his title at Muirfield this week.
One of the favourites for The Claret Jug this week is without a doubt the new US Open Champion Justin Rose. Still fresh off his victory at Merion Golf Club Rose talks to ETW about that magical final day in Pennsylvania as well as the last few weeks since his Major Championship breakthrough.
As always we will review all of the best of the action from the most recent European Tour event. This week that means a trip to Inverness for the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open. European Tour Weekly will highlight the best of the action from Castle Stuart Golf Links.
Whilst in Inverness ETW met up with Argentinian Estanislao Goya, who had to retain his playing privileges for 2013 at the Qualifying School Final Stage after finishing 123rd in The 2012 Race to Dubai. Goya will also be making the trip to Muirfield to compete in his second Open Championship after successfully coming through International Final Qualifying at Sunningdale.
Together with all of the latest news and statistics from the Tour, this completes another edition of European Tour Weekly.
