The upcoming National Bank of Oman Golf Classic continues to go from strength to strength with the announcement that Oman Oil Company has signed an agreement to become Premium Sponsor of the event, which is taking place at Almouj Golf, The Wave Muscat on October 24-27.
The National Bank of Oman Golf Classic marks the first time a professional golf tournament has been played in Oman and the first time a European Challenge Tour event has been played in the GCC. As well as putting the Sultanate on the world golf map, the tournament also provides a platform for Omani businesses to promote their activities to the global corporate community and in turn boost the local economy.
During the signing ceremony at Almouj Golf, The Wave Muscat on August 28, Ahmed Al Musalmi, National Bank of Oman Deputy Chief Executive Officer revealed his delight at the formation of a partnership with a company of the calibre of Oman Oil Company, who are owned by the Government of Oman.
