FJ, the #1 Shoe & Glove in golf, was again at the top of leaderboards around the world this weekend, led by its brand ambassador, Victor Dubuisson, who held off a stellar field at the Turkish Airlines Open to claim his maiden European Tour victory. The prodigious 23 year-old Frenchman underlined his obvious talent with an impressive 24 under-par total around The Montgomerie Maxx Royal for a two-shot victory over a field that included 16 players ranked inside the top 50 of the Official World Golf Rankings. With the €848,930 first-place prize money Dubuisson vaults into ninth position in the Race to Dubai rankings, ahead of the final event of the season this week in Dubai.

Following a flawless round of 63 on Saturday, which left him with a five-shot cushion heading into the final day, Dubuisson began Sunday with nine consecutive pars. Despite pressure being applied by several of the tournaments headline players, he was the epitome of calm in FJ Contour Casuals and FJ Apparel, as turned on the style on the back-nine with three birdies in the closing four holes. Dubuisson was in good company in opting for FJ, as 60% of the field also opting for the all-round excellence of the market-leader, compared to just 15% for the nearest competitor. Furthermore, FJ also topped the Glove Counts, with 33% of the field opting for its superior performance, comfort and grip.

On the OneAsia Tour, FJ Ambassador and current Masters Champion, Adam Scott, claimed a dominant victory on home soil, with a four-stroke win in the Australian PGA Championship. The popular Aussie wore a new FJ prototype shoe and an FJ StaSof®, as he scorched Royal Pines Golf Club, posting a 14-under par total in what was his first official tournament down-under since making history as the first Australian winner of The Masters, in April. FJ dominated the shoe and glove counts at the event, with 71% of the field opting for the superior comfort, fit and performance of FJ golf shoes and 50% an FJ Glove.

“We’re delighted, for both Victor and Adam, with their wins in two high-profile events this week. At just 23 years old, Victor is an exciting prospect with a phenomenal level of natural talent for the game. He stayed cool in a high-pressure situation, brandishing FJ’s Mark of a Player logo throughout. We’re fascinated to see how far he can go in the game – there is no ceiling as to how good he can be,” commented Russell Lawes, Marketing Manager, FJ. “Adam meanwhile, has put his faith in FJ products throughout his career and its testament to the quality and performance of the range that a player of his quality continues to do so.”

Rounding out a stellar week for the market-leading brand was FJ topping the counts at the McGladrey Classic on the PGA Tour, where 58% of the field wore FootJoy shoes, compared to just 23% for the nearest competitor. 39% of the field also opted for an FJ Glove, compared to just 14% for the nearest competitor. Whether it is the all-round excellence of FJ ICON™, the Xtreme Platform Stability of XPS-1™, the reliability and consistent performance of DryJoys Tour™, the athletic performance of FJ Sport™, the minimal construction and maximum feel of M:PROJECT™ or the multi-functional, lifestyle-infused Contour Casual; FJ remains the overwhelming favourite for golfers of all abilities around the world.
