Ryder Cup Europe is delighted to offer an additional opportunity for golf fans to watch Europe’s bid to regain The Ryder Cup from the United States at The Celtic Manor Resort, City of Newport, Wales, from October 1-3.

A supplementary  number of  Ground Admission match day tickets are available for fans seeking to see Colin Montgomerie’s European Team take on Corey Pavin’s United States Team on The Twenty Ten Course – the first time the match has been staged in Wales in its 83-year history.

Richard Hills, the European Ryder Cup Director, said: “We have received this inventory back from our commercial and hospitality packages and we are delighted to make them available to the general public. We see this as a positive opportunity for more fans to watch this year’s match. It has arisen because The Ryder Cup, like many sports events, is not immune to the economic downturn, although we remain open for hospitality sales and continue to take bookings.”

All Ground Admission tickets, which are not transferable, are for daily entry. Tickets for Friday October 1 and Saturday October 2 cost £100 each and for Sunday October 3 they are £130 each. Transportation passes with access to the Park and Ride facilities are also available at £20 per day per car.

All tickets must be booked through www.rydercup.com/tickets  and all successful applicants will be required to submit a passport style photograph. Practice Day tickets for Tuesday September 28 and Wednesday September 29 are also available at £30 each in addition to Thursday September 30, when the Opening Ceremony takes place, at £40.
