As the 2012 season picks up momentum, in what has been a thrilling start to the year in European golf, the countdown to Medinah, Illinois, and The 2012 Ryder Cup is continuing apace as seven months to the day separates Captain José María Olazábal and his European Team from show time in Chicago.

Olazábal will face up to his opposite number, his great friend, long-time competitor and 2012 Team USA Captain Davis Love III, on Friday September 28, 2012, knowing that for three days an enduring friendship must be put aside as their respective Teams battle it out for the right to hoist the illustrious Samuel Ryder Trophy come Sunday evening.

And as we move towards the European swing in what is shaping up to be another superb Ryder Cup year, today sees the second instalment in a series of “Questions with The 2012 Ryder Cup Captains” in which the two leaders are fielding 20 quick-fire questions to divulge their similarities and differences and reveal some clues as to the men behind the masks.

With both Teams starting to take the form of what already look to be ultra-competitive line-ups, excitement is already building for September’s showpiece in the Midwest and the below reflects something into the character of both Captains as The Ryder Cup D-Day comes ever-closer.
