Biography

After playing in three Ryder Cups Teams – including two winning sides in 1991 and 1993 – and acting as an assistant to Tom Lehman in 2006, he was named as the 26th US Captain for the 2010 contest in Wales. Produced one of the greatest shots in US Open history at Shinnecock Hills on his way to capturing his only Major title in 1995. Went into the final round two strokes behind Greg Norman, but smashed a four wood 228 yards to five feet at the 72nd hole to claim the title. That victory was one of 15 on the US PGA Tour to set alongside 11 internationally, including the 1983 German Open. Hosts the Corey Pavin Golf Classic benefitting Big Brothers and Big Sisters in Venture, California.
