Finished 59th in the 2010 Order of Merit with his best performance tied ninth in the Bad Ragaz PGA Seniors Open. That came after finishing 39th in 2009 and two consecutive seasons of finishing 34th on the Order of Merit in 2007 and 2008. This passionate Spaniard came mightily close to securing his maiden European Senior Tour win when he tied for third at the 2007 Open de France Senior de Divonne. Earned his card after coming through the Qualifying School Finals the previous year, when he led after 18 and 54 holes before eventually losing out to Australian David Merriman in a play-off on the final day. First won his card at the 2004 Qualifying School and went on to finish 25th in his Rookie year. Played on The European Tour from 1982 to 1989, recording his highest placing on the Order of Merit in 1985 when he was 74th and a best individual performance of 11th at the 1983 Portuguese Open. Has been a professional at Campo de Golf Villamartin in Alicante since 1978 and his son Emilio Rodriguez Aguilera is an aspiring professional.
