Biography

Twice a winner on the European Seniors Tour, at the 1995 Lawrence Batley Seniors and the 1999 Greek Seniors Open, where he survived a dramatic four-hole play-off against Spain’s Antonio Garrido. Prior to turning 50, the popular Italian also enjoyed several lucrative seasons on The European Tour, his best performance coming in his own national Open in 1972 where he finished third behind Scotland’s Norman Wood. Represented Italy in two World Cups in 1972 and 1973.
