Biography

Began the 2011 campaign with a share of sixth place in his homeland in the Handa Australian Senior Open – his best performance on the Senior Tour since turning 50 in 2001 - and also finished seventh in the Cannes Mougins Masters. Now in his 12th year as a senior golfer after an illustrious career in which he won seven titles on The European Tour, and no fewer than 19 on his home circuit in Australia. Represented Australia in four World Cups and was a member of six Dunhill Cup sides, including the winning team in 1986. Has won once on the US Champions Tour, but is still looking for his breakthrough victory in Europe. Trained as an accountant before turning professional, and is easily identified on the golf course by his penchant for wearing plus-twos.
