Captured his maiden European Senior Tour title when he defeated Englishman Roger Chapman in a play-off in the Mauritius Commercial Bank Open in December 2010. Eagled the 18th to force the tournament into a play-off and took the title on the second extra hole. Narrowly missed out on a maiden Senior Major when he lost to Tom Lehman in the US Senior PGA Championship in 2010. Proved himself to be a versatile performer, winning consistently in the United States (ten times), Europe and his native South Africa, where he has captured the Million Dollar Classic at Sun City no fewer than three times. He was tied third behind Ernie Els in the first event of 1999, the South African PGA Championship, then went on to win the next tournament, the South African Open, seven days later. Captained South Africa to successive victories in the 1997 and 1998 Alfred Dunhill Cups at St. Andrews. Proved he can still compete with the best in 2008 with a fourth place finish at the European Open. Took up the game aged 14 as a caddie for his father, and played in the South African Amateur at 18. Owns his own vineyard, 'Frost Vineyards', a 300-acre estate in South Africa with 100 acres of vines.
