SENIOR TOUR QUALIFYING INFORMATION
Due to difficulties experienced in processing entries to the 2012 European Senior Tour Qualifying School over the Christmas Holiday period, the entry deadline has been extended to Noon (UK time) on Friday 6 January, 2012.
The European Senior Tour Qualifying School was first played in 1993 at Collingtree Park. Since 2001 the event has been played at Pestana Golf Resort on Portugal’s Algarve and approximately 14 players qualify for membership of the European Senior Tour.
The Qualifying School is played over two stages, the final stage being a 72 hole competition and always the competition is fierce for a place among many of the game’s great champions.
Entries for the Qualifying School are now open, with the First Stage scheduled to take place on January 26 and 27, 2012, over three courses at the Pestana Golf Resort. In addition to Silves Golf and the Nick Price-designed Gramacho course, Vila Sol has been added to the rota for the first time to deal with the anticipated increase in the numbers of competitors.
The Final Stage will take place from Monday 30th January to Thursday 2nd February, 2012.
