The Midas English Senior Open restarted at 3.45pm after tournament officials decided the Nicklaus Course at St Mellion could continue to host the second round.

"The 36 players who had already started their second rounds at The Midas English Seniors Open will resume their rounds at 3.45pm, five hours 45 minutes after play was suspended owing to heavy rain at St Mellion. Starting times for players who were still to tee off - games 13-34 - will be the original start time, plus five hours 45 minutes," said Tournament Director, Michael Petch.

It meant the final group, which contains the leader, England's Carl Mason, who is on three under par, and South Africa's John Bland and Australia's Stewart Ginn, who are two under par, did not get out on the course until 5.45pm.
