TOURNAMENT HISTORY

The inaugural Berenberg Bank Masters sees the European Senior Tour visit South Africa for the first time. Players will tackle the Gary Player-designed Links at Fancourt, which has recently been revamped with changes to 27 bunkers and resurfacing of all 18 greens. Lying at the foot of the majestic Outeniqua mountains in the heart of the Garden Route, The Links at Fancourt has previously hosted the Presidents Cup in 2003, the inaugural Women’s World Cup of Golf in 2005, and the South African Open Championship on The European Tour in 2006, which was won by home favourite Retief Goosen. Senior Tour winner John Bland, who is attached to Fancourt, and multiple Major Championship winner Gary Player, are among the home favourites in the field.
