Germany’s Bernhard Langer will begin his campaign to win the US Senior PGA Championship alongside Fred Couples at Colorado Golf Club.

The 2004 Ryder Cup winning Captain has been paired with Couples and US Senior Open Champion Fred Funk for the first two rounds, teeing off at 9.10am local time on Thursday and 2.15pm on Friday.

Langer, who is trying to win his maiden Senior Major Championship after finishing runner up two years ago, is currently second on the US Champions Tour Money List to Couples, who has won three times in six events since turning 50. Couples is making his Senior Major Championship debut.

Mark James, who finished as the leading European last year, tees off at 1.35pm alongside fellow European Senior Tour Member David Frost and Hale Irwin.

Another former Ryder Cup Captain, Sam Torrance, is grouped with American pair David Eger and Michael Reid, while Sandy Lyle is paired with Fuzzy Zoeller and Andy North.

Senior Tour Order of Merit leader Boonchu Runagkit tees off with 2008 US Senior Open Champion Eduardo Romero and Tom Penrice.

Defending champion Michael Allen of America will tee off alongside eight time Major Champion and five time Senior Major Champion Tom Waston, and former Ryder Cup Captain Ben Crenshaw.
